Oasis is the high school ministry of Brookside Church in Omaha, Nebraska. Every week high school students from all over Omaha come together to be a part of the Oasis community. Our greatest desire at Oasis is to see students trust Jesus Christ with every aspect of their lives.
Here is a brief overview of our ministry:
Wednesday nights
This is our primary gathering for the week and is always an awesome time together. A free meal is served at 6:30pm, and then Oasis kicks off at 7:00 and ends at 8:45. During this time, we hang out, worship God, hear relevant talks, and spend time in Lifegroups (small groups). Lifegroups are what make our large group feel not so large! Groups are divided by gender and will stay together for the school year.
We meet in the Hub at Brookside, and the entrance is the doors under the awning on the east (Interstate) side of the church. Doors open at 6:20pm.
Sunday mornings
Student Impact is our Sunday morning opportunity for students to serve in various ministries around Brookside (Children’s ministry, etc.). Students who sign up for Student Impact serve during one of Brookside’s services and attend church during the other service. This group provides student leadership to Oasis as well and will gather for Sunday lunch meetings once a month. This is a great opportunity for students to learn that they are a vital part of the local church.
