Tonight we had Miguel Shaul come and share at Oasis. It was great to have him. Miguel grew up at Brookside and is a guy who as he said it tonight was “wrecked” by God (in a very good way) during a trip to the Dominican Republic his senior year of high school. I remember John Alford telling me about that trip and the fact that Miguel felt so strongly in his spirit that that was the place God wanted him that he told John he wouldn’t be returning home with the team. He did return home with the team, he was trained by Adventures in Missions and now this summer we’ll be going to where he permanently lives. What I love about Miguel is his earnest desire to serve God whatever that looks like.
This summer my prayer for whoever goes on this trip is this… “Lord Break Us”…Lord would you give us a dose of you that changes the way we do life. That’s a “risky” prayer but one that I pray we see come to life
